Volunteer of the Month

August 2020 Volunteer of the Month - Mariah

The August volunteer of the month is Mariah, one of our amazing foster parents. Mariah lives in an apartment and isn’t allowed to have dogs over 15 lbs, but she still finds a way to foster and help those in need. She goes to show that anyone can help if they have the true desire. Here’s a little bit about Mariah:

"Books, Dogs, and Coffee is the recipe for a happy life. I have always loved animals and especially dogs. I always wanted to take all the dogs home with me, and now I kind of can (at least til they find their fur-ever home). I’d been contemplating fostering for a long time when I encountered Paw Patrol at 2nd & Charles. I was in from that moment and went to the next fostering sign up I could. I have been fostering now for about a year now, and have enjoyed providing a home and getting to know all the different personalities of the different dogs. I even found my boy, Tovi, who seems to enjoy being a foster fur-brother! I am grateful for all the wagging tails, puppy kisses and cuddles that have come into my life, and have no plans on giving it up anytime soon!”

Thank you so much Mariah for all you have done and continue to do for dogs in need. You are greatly appreciated!
