September 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Jay Devenport

This month we are featuring Jay as our volunteer of the month. Jay and family saw a stray cat and her babies in the neighborhood and instead of turning a blind eye, they chose to save lives! They decided to foster and give that little fur family a chance. We are so thankful for people like Jay and her family who see an issue and decide to be the solution! Here is a bit about why Jay decided to get involved:

“I decided to foster a stray cat and her five kittens because they deserved a safe, loving place to start their lives. The mother cat had been struggling to care for her babies outdoors, and I couldn’t ignore their need for warmth, food, and security. By opening my home, I hoped to give them a chance to grow healthy, social, and ready for their forever families — and to show them that kindness can change their story.”
