April 2026 Volunteer of the Month - Leanna

Please join us in saying a giant thank you to Leanna, our April volunteer of the month. Leanna has a passion and skill for photography and decided to use her skills to help our furry friends hopefully find their forever homes. Read a bit about her and her time volunteering with Paw Patrol:

“My name is Leanna Smith, and I am a volunteer photographer for our wonderful rescue organization, Paw Patrol. I am currently pursuing a Fine Art Photography Certificate at Sinclair Community College. One of the primary reasons I chose to volunteer is to gain hands-on experience in my field of photography while also volunteering my services to help a local rescue. This journey has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to develop strong communication skills, adapt quickly when working with new clients, and manage scheduling in a dynamic environment. I have also developed a deep love for the dogs and cats we work with. While I understand that my role may not be the most prominent in directly finding them new homes, I truly believe that even the smallest contributions—such as capturing their personalities through photography—can help make a meaningful difference. Each experience has contributed to my growth both personally and professionally, and I am excited to continue building my skills. Looking ahead, my goal after completing my studies is to become more actively involved in our community events and expand my volunteer work. I am eager to continue growing as a photographer while making a positive impact through my work.”
