Volunteer of the Month

January 2022 Volunteer of the Month - Courtney

To kick off our new year, we would like to introduce you to Courtney, our January volunteer of the month. Courtney first joined the Paw Patrol family by adopting one of our cats, and soon realized she could do something to help many more cats than just that one! She, her husband, and her young daughter now fosters cats and kittens for the rescue and has helped save more than half a dozen lives. Here is a bit about why Courtney chose to get involved:

I started fostering for Dayton paw patrol last May. It all started when I adopted my cat Apollo a few years ago. He was one of the first cats to be adopted out at the time. The process of it all was fascinating to me. They really take the time to make sure these animals go to a good home. It took a few years to get my husband on board to foster, but now we wouldn’t know what to do without it. I foster because I know there are so many cats and kittens out there that need homes. The shelters are over flowing with animals and it feels like I’m doing my part in helping the community. It’s hard to see them leave, but so rewarding watching them go into their forever homes and knowing I helped them get there.

Thank you so much for all you do, Courtney!
