June 2025 Volunteer of the Month - Deb McClure

Deb has been a Paw Patrol volunteer and foster for many years, and we would like to thank her by honoring her as the June volunteer of the month. Deb tirelessly processes adoption applications day in and day out, calling landlords, vets, and personal references. She fosters dogs and has helped with many events and fundraisers. We are so happy Deb chose us to dedicate her valuable time to! Here is a bit about why she volunteers, in her own words:

“I volunteer for Paw Patrol to help doggies out there that come from a bad living situation. Some coming from puppy mills, which are my favorite to help. These poor little souls do not know what it is like to be a dog and not a puppy machine. They get forcibly bred continuously, some never seeing or touching grass. To get a puppy mill survivor and watch the transformation of their little personalities come alive and be happy for the first time is so satisfaction. I prefer poodle/poodle mixes. But I have also taken in owner surrenders of different breeds, which is sad to see them cry after their owners.

Do I get attached to my fosters, yes more times than not. But my job is to help them adjust to a new and better life ahead. Since joining Paw Patrol I have come to the conclusion, I like animals way more than people. I am very proud and thankful to be part of an organization like Paw Patrol, who takes pride in helping animals.”
